Tanya Burr Cookies

Hi Guys!

I've decided to do a little blog post on mine and the kids FAVOURITE +TanyaBurr choc chunk (i say chunk as they are definitely not chip) cookies. these are without a doubt the best cookies I've baked at home ever. they're a really gooey, super chocolatey naughty treat! but so worth the extra calories... if you're counting!

what i love about this recipe is that not only do the children love eating them, they absolutely love to help making them too! breaking up all the chocolate is a great job for the little ones.

for me, this recipe usually makes around 12-14 medium sized cookies (sized slightly larger than a golf ball however they DO SPREAD!)


200g butter
300g caster sugar
1 large egg
275g self-raising flour
75g cocoa powder
a tablespoon of milk (possibly a little more)
a large bar of milk chocolate (i buy sainsburys own!)
a large bar of white chocolate (again, sainsburys own!)


start by creaming together the butter and sugar, i use a wooden spoon throughout the mixing, its gets a little tough but fine once you add the milk, ha!

once butter and sugar is creamed together, add in the egg until all is mixed.

add in all dry ingredients half at a time until its completely incorporated. (this is when it becomes a work out!)

now add in the milk, which hopefully should make it easier to mix.

now to add in the chocolate, which should have been broken into the squares the chocolate bar comes in anyway (nothing smaller because the big chunks of chocolate is what makes these cookies so delicious!)
